  • Do I worry? I better pray harder and work harder.

Back in the days When I was in Korea in 1998, there was a financial crisis. I was going to college at that time and was commuting to school from my uncle's house. For about 2 years, I remember, the economy was horrible and most of Korean people had to struggle.

At that time, on the way back home from school, there was a huge advertisement tower. It was saying: <Why do you worry? You can pray.> It might have been from a local church in Seoul. Back then, I didn't know Jesus yet so that sign looked just silly. Praying to whom? Praying for what? I really thought Christian people were so unrealistic and irresponsible. Well, eventually and thankfully, after several years I met Jesus and got to know His love and almightiness.

Now, especially in this unbelievable economic crisis and my poor personal job security, I realize how powerful that sign was to many Christian people in Korea. Also, I'm so thankful that God let me see and remember that particular sign even when I didn't know Him. (I think he already planned to put me in this hardships at least twice in my life!)

The reason that sign is so powerful is that our God is real and He is so good. He provides everything we need if we trust Him. Knowing this fact, I can pray and I don't have to worry. It still sounds crazy? Yes, quite a bit but I reassure that this is how it works. He's my father. I'm His child. He is almighty god and ruler of this world. He loves me and wants me to be happy and victorious all the time. Therefore, I get the authority in my life to be happy and fruitful all the time. (simple!!)

Anyways, I'm not going to worry but pray harder and work harder.
